Scott “DR GX” Goldfine
L.A.-born musicologist and author Scott “DR GX” Goldfine has worked in every level of media. The longtime mobile and club DJ’s affiliations include Resource/Impact Record Pool; Teleprograms radio syndication; American Mixed Media record promotion; Atlantic Records; Inside Music & Video Magazine; Black Radio Exclusive Magazine; and “Platter Chatter,” an album review TV show.
More recently, the avid funk, R&B, hip hop and jazz promoter founded the website; published the book, “Everything Is on THE ONE: The First Guide of Funk”; and launched the “TRUTH IN RHYTHM” video & audio podcast interview show — dedicated to going “DEEP with contemporary music’s foremost masters of the groove.” Several hundred segments have been produced.
Graduating with honors from California State University Northridge with a degree in Radio-Television-Film, Goldfine presently resides with his family in the Charlotte, N.C., area. Among other credentials, he is also an official Funk Ambassador for the Funk Music Hall of Fame & Exhibition Center in Dayton, Ohio.
